Hi, I’m Nongmaithem Rita — a nature lover, an animal soul, and someone who believes in living a life full of purpose, love, and a little bit of beautiful chaos.
Since childhood, I have always felt deeply connected to nature and innocent living beings. There was something about their simplicity, honesty, and quiet presence that always felt like home to me.
This space is where I share my experiences with animals, pet care, home gardening, and the simple moments that have shaped my life.
From Dreams of the Sky to Finding Myself on the Ground
I come from Manipur, and Chandigarh has been my home since 2004.
Like many young dreamers, I once had a clear vision—to build a career in the aviation industry and create the life I had imagined for myself.
I started my professional journey with AffiliRed, a well-known travel performance agency based in Barcelona, as an Affiliate Manager and worked there for four years. It was a wonderful phase of learning, growth, and professional development.
In 2014, at the age of 31, I left my job for my arranged marriage. I believed I was stepping into a beautiful new chapter of life—one filled with love, belonging, and a place I could call my own.
But life had different plans.
Within just seven months, everything changed. The marriage ended, and I found myself facing an uncertain future. It was one of the most difficult periods of my life, and I often felt alone in what I was going through.
The Phase That Changed Me
I returned to Chandigarh with zero balance—emotionally and financially.
Those days were not easy. I still remember the exhaustion of working day and night, sleeping very little, and trying to rebuild my life from scratch.
There were moments of loneliness, moments of doubt, and moments when I had no idea what would come next.
But somewhere deep inside, there was still a small voice telling me to keep going. I trusted in God.
I joined Okaya Infocom Pvt. Ltd. in IT Park, Chandigarh. During that time, my life slowly began to shift again, and I discovered freelancing through Upwork.
At first, freelancing felt unfamiliar and uncertain, but I was willing to learn.
Step by step, I taught myself everything. No shortcuts. No guidance. Just patience, determination, and a willingness to keep moving forward.
I am deeply grateful to AffiliRed and Okaya Infocom. Those experiences gave me the skills, confidence, and foundation that helped me stand on my own.
The Love That Healed Me

As I started working from home, something beautiful entered my life. I began feeding, rescuing, and adopting stray animals. At a time when I felt alone, they were there for me.
They became my family, my strength, and my reason to keep going.
I stopped thinking about starting life again with someone else. Instead, I chose a different path—a life where I could give love, care, and a safe home to those who needed it most.
Today, I live with eight dogs, along with fish and budgies.
Life is not easy. It is noisy, messy, and sometimes overwhelming. But it is also filled with a kind of love that healed me in ways nothing else could.
Every day, I wake up with one simple purpose—to make their lives better, keep them happy, and give them the love they deserve.
Even on the hardest days, I would not choose anything else. When you truly love something, you always find a way.
Today, I work from home, building a life that allows me to be present for what matters most.
My life is simple. It is not perfect, but it is full of love, responsibility, and purpose.
After everything I have been through, this is the life I truly love.
